Camping spot tonight at Hamra

Had a tinge of sadness this morning as we left this beautiful spot on the Baltic, and watched a yacht sailing out to sea. We are now heading west across Sweden towards Norway. It turned out to be a more humdrum sort of a day. We took the lesser roads and passed through many rural areas and forests. Stopped in Ljusdal for supplies which was one of the less attractive Swedish towns we have been in. The Lidl store was quite dirty and we were pleased to head off and find a place further on for a late lunch stop.

Enjoyed the drive on quieter roads and seeing more livestock through this area. Have noticed the size of many of these country homes, they are older but in good order and often two storied and they look huge.

Tonight’s Freedom camping spot is on a small lake, very pleasant and enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine…until a shower of rain sent us inside. Spotted some low growing bushes with little blue berries on them, and spoke to a local who told me they were wild blueberries. Picked a dish full and they have such great flavour.

Noticed many of these wooden structures
beside churches...not sure what they are.

If this were the States there would be bears eating the blueberries.
