Sunday October 20, St George, Utah

View from Ruakiwi as the last of the sun glowed on the hill...still some yellow leaves around.
Had planned to head back into the park early this morning to get some morning photos, but Ruakiwi had started making a knocking noise under the front. On inspection Ian found the bushes put in 10 days ago on the torsion arm had come out…buggar! So plan changed and we drove into St George along the I15 and tomorrow will head into town first thing and see if we can get it sorted ASAP so that we can get back on the road again. Very frustrating as planned to be staying in parks and not towns, especially after spending a day getting this job done.
It was an easy drive through, crossing from Nevada into Arizona for a short time before returning to Utah. The pass through the Virgin River Gorge was pretty spectacular, with the road seeming to disappear as it entered the narrow gorge. Used the afternoon to give Ruakiwi a long overdue wash, and generally a lazy one, not many photos today!
The Virgin River Gorge

Everywhere you look the views are pretty imposing.

Howdy Meg and Ian, pleased to see dash board cam being used by a talented artist. Enjoying our daily fix of the USA, had a productive 5 days at work with no plan for an early start tomorrow as rain anticipated. We off to Christchurch friday pm, catch up with South Island whanau. Lots of Love, Vicki n Ed
