Monday October 15, Carsac-Aillace

Very little to report today as we the light rain that fell overnight continued all day too making a bike ride impossible. Forecast for tomorrow is good and as we really wanted to do the section decided to kick back and have a relaxing day staying put. Put our coats on and with umbrellas up walked to the village planning to have lunch at the little restaurant. No joy, it was shut as was the boulangerie which was the second option, and in fact nothing in town was open,  so we wandered home in the rain and toasted yesterdays bread for lunch! But a glass of wine with it helped!!!

By late afternoon the rain had stopped and we needed to blow some cobwebs out so went for a walk in the other direction to the church and amazed to see some interesting buildings built into the steep stone cliff, I would be concerned that they might break away and fall on the buildings at the bottom, but obviously have been there for many years. Here’s hoping the forecast is correct and we can go for our ride tomorrow. The internet is very slow and unable to load my blogs while we are here.
