A really enjoyable ride through the gorge.
Phil and Paul told us that there was a good ride from here out to the Gorges de la Meouge so decided to hang about here for another day and do it. No hardship as it is a very good place to stay with all facilities and no charge.
Had a morning pottering around trying to work out why we are getting air into our water supply. Phil rang his mate in England who works with campervans and had a few ideas to try, but no luck at all.  They mucked around for ages running water through the system in different ways but still couldn’t get rid of the air. So still work in progress.
Walked down to the shop and picked up some fresh bread for lunch before heading off for our ride. The first 5 km’s were on a reasonably busy road but there was a bike lane which made it very easy. We really are just gaining our confidence on the bikes. Rode through a small town and then onto the Gorge Road which was pretty narrow but we managed fine. Wound away along the gorge for quite some distance and the views into it were pretty majestic. Turned around before the end of the road and headed back to camp, 18kms under our belt and a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Phil came and had a beer, he has done very little today, trying to let his wounds heal, then Paul arrived back from his ride out to the gorge. Have thoroughly enjoyed their company. Walked into town for our first evening meal out since being in France. Not a lot of selection but had a nice meal and enjoyed sitting outside on the pavement people watching.
Views of the gorge.

The main road with its bike lanes.

Paul, Phil and Ian had a few laughs!

Dish of the day - veal with apricots - yummy.
