Witta and Dick’s, Sequim, WA

It has been great spending time here in Sequim and catching up with Witta and Dick. They have 5 acres with a really nice home in the hills overlooking town and the harbour, but sadly the misty weather hung around and we weren’t able to appreciate the views.
Sequim is a delightful vibrant town, with some great galleries and stores, a perfect place to wander around.
Wiita had to judge some photos for the CPA on Thursday, and I was able to go along and watch, and enjoy without having to make comments. Also had fun using her longer lens, having a go at catching some of the birds on the lawn and down by the harbour. Witta is and excellent nature photographer and has some great bird shots.

Before we left this morning we went to their favourite little restaurant, The Oak House, for a real “American Breakfast”, and it was so good. Have to say there was no need for lunch today!
We drove around to Port Townsend in the thick fog, had heard that it was a nice little town so allowed plenty of time before we had to catch the ferry so that we could have a wander around. In fact we could have easily have spend much longer, the original town around the wharf area is full of old Victorian brick buildings that have been restored. There are galleries, cafes, and really interesting and quirky little shops, and the streets are lined with trees and hanging baskets of flowers. Sorry that we had to leave to queue up for the ferry.
