Monday July 8, Geisingen

Good news, we are back on the road again today after deciding to stay put again yesterday and get properly back on deck again. It’s been a grey day, that turned to rain this afternoon and temperatures are below 20, but not complaining. It’s extremely pleasant.
We meandered through the Black Forest on some very scenic roads, passing through farm lands and then climbing higher up into the forest. Stopped at a Lidl store and picked up a really nice loaf of nutty wholemeal bread for lunch and a bag of the darkest yummiest cherries that were on special at €5 a kilogram. With the rain coming down we stopped in their carpark for lunch before continuing on to a campsite we spotted on park4night.
I seem to have this ongoing battle in Germany with road closures with their dreaded big red metal cross through the road sign. It has happened so many times on our travels in Germany and today was no exception. The turnoff into the town was closed and nowhere could you see a detour sign. We continued on and managed to find another route in, then more road closures through the village. Jilly sent us off onto a rather narrow road, and have since discovered the much simpler route. The battle with her continues.
Played with the camera today..must be feeling better!!!

Barley ready for harvest.
