Meadows, flowers and barns...this is Austrian countryside.

Its been another great day out on our bikes. Managed to catch up with more laundry before we left and hung it on a line under the awning. The weather was fine, a light cloud cover and pleasantly warm. There are no problems following the cycle paths as they are so well signposted, with different colours for the MTB tracks. The ride to Mandling took us along the banks of the river, through fields covered in wildflowers and farmers out making hay, then in the quiet streets around Radstadt before a great shady ride through the woods. And tree covered mountains rising on either sides.

Lots of people using the tracks, families and serious bikers but the tracks are wide so it didn’t cause any problems. Arrived at Mandling about midday, perfect timing for a lunch stop! Found a really nice restaurant where we sat outside under the awning, perfect.

Meandered back to camp with a stop at the supermarket to pick up something for dinner. The round trip was almost 35 kms, and starting to feel quite a bit fitter, just need more days like today!!!
