Hard to leave this rather nice spot! |
This weather has put us into a
slower pace, it is just too good to be rushing about instead of kicking back
and enjoying it. Another stunning morning and it was an easy decision to stay
put. Pottered around this morning, Ian fixing a few bits and pieces and I had a
good clean up. Late morning we set off to check out the marina that was a few
kilometres away. This is not a big tourist area although the main holiday season
is July and August and there seems to be a number of beach bars that are still
suffering from their winter blues, waiting for a clean up ready for the summer
holiday makers. There seems to be a lot of closed up multi storied apartment
blocks that are closed up and suspect these will be opened up soon.
Had a wander around one end of
the marina where there were a number of fishing boats but couldn’t find our way
into the main area. Spotted a nice-looking shop with a huge display of fruit
and vegetables and when we went inside they had a great deli along with other
grocery items. Bought some nice fresh bread, cherries, a melon, tomatoes and
freshly sliced prosciutto and ham and meandered back to camp and sat outside
under the awning and enjoyed a nice fresh lunch with all the goodies. Getting
quite used to this lifestyle! Will move on tomorrow though…I think!
Lots of cacti growing wild. |
..and more unfinished houses, interesting to see that the ground floor is completed and looks like it has been lived in for a long time. |
Ready for a makeover before the summer holiday makers. |
