Today's photos from our walk through the village...really love all the brick houses.

Just cruising today and it has been HOT (28 degrees) and tomorrow is going to even be HOTTER (32 degrees). Everyone is out enjoying the sun. We went for a good walk around the village early this morning before it got too hot. I think of our neighbour Lynda, who said that we needed to make sure we had a good walk every day if we were going to enjoy some wine in the evening! I remind Ian of Lynda as I suggest a walk!!! Admired a garden full of roses and started chatting with Marilyn who passed on quite a bit of local knowledge and places worth visiting.
Ian has a bit of talent sharpening knives, and spent a some time this morning with Steve’s knives and a wet stone, I am sure he will be impressd!
Popped into Skeg ( as the locals call Skegness) this afternoon and visited Morrison’s Supermarket, very impressed. Ian had me driving the car this afternoon as I am going to have to drive back from Lincoln on Wednesday…YEAH we are going to pick the van up. Steve has got a temporary insurance using the VIN number so he will have to be the driver, but we are bringing it back to the barn where we will be able to get it all setup. We are heading in the right direction as the waiting game for the return of the papers continue.
Tomorrow we are having and early start and heading to Melton Mowbray for the weekly livestock sale at 10am. This market has been held every Tuesday for centuries, will know more about this after we visit, but both looking forward to it.
Tonight we walked up to the village and our “new local” – the Guest House for a pint, sat outside and enjoyed the balmy evening then into their restaurant for a meal, and were really impressed, good freshly cooked food. Meandered down the road home afterwards, so good not to have to worry about drinking and driving.
Just a few photos today taken with my little Sony as we were on our morning walk.

Feel the need to take photos of these old cemetries

Thanks for dipping a toe in the North Sea. Love that photo of the church door. You will be pleased to have the camper at the barn so you can pack it up the way you want it. It's going to be you home for some time :-)

This time must be so valuable, getting all things sorted without too much pressure. Your Sony seems to be cutting the mustard - great picies, how neat to go for a wander at your leisure.
I've resurrected my Blog which hasn't been used in over two years. You inspired me, whether I will manage daily entries is debatable, but I will try.
Cheers to the evening vinos
