Saturday July 11th Hinckley MN

A beautiful morning in St Cloud, the air was so fresh and the sky so clear, last nights rain had cleared the air. We had a leisurely morning, chatting over a cup of tea then a great brunch that Sue and Laura had organised with all sorts of fresh fruit and a cheese and spinach bake. Very spoilt.

Sue and Tim offered to take us to the famous Munsinger and Clemens Gardens in town, and on the way we stopped at the Verizon store. Our phone had been playing up, the keys were sticking, and although it was 6 days out of its warranty, they replaced it. Very impressed with their service.

The gardens were spectacular, in full summer bloom, there were beds of flowers in different colours and the lilies especially were spectacular. We wondered down through the wooded area to the Mississippi and saw 3 different bridal parties having photos taken.

St Cloud is not a huge town but it has a great feel to it, we were very impressed.

Saying good bye was hard, but feel sure that we will see Sue and Tim in NZ, and also that Laura will return.

We set off with toward Duluth, but only got as far as Hinckley when we decided to stop for the day. Ended up in the RV park at the Grand Casino..not the favourite spot, but with this being a busy summer weekend, knew that it would be hard to find a vacant site.
