Ruakiwi is SOLD!!!

I’m very sorry about the lack of blogs, have been rather preoccupied, major developments!!!. We received a call from Stephen in Bradford on Wednesday night and he was very keen to buy the motorhome, so detoured a bit on Friday and after a 5-hour drive arrived at his home. He has health issues, works from home as a software developer, and he plans to travel around UK and use the motorhome as his office. It was just what he wanted and the decision was made. The money has been paid over and he has taken ownership of it. We had collected a car on Friday from Bradford and then back to the van to stack the bins up with our gear. Two hours later we had most of our belongings in the car. Stephen spent the Friday evening in the van with us, such a nice guy, and we know that it is going to work out really well for him.

Then it was farewell to Ruakiwi this morning, rather sad, but know we have had 5 wonderful years in it. We drove down to Boston to Steve and Kathy’s this afternoon which seems just like home. We are so fortunate to able to just pop in and grab a bed. They are really are like family.                                              Getting organised now, we have booked a hotel at Manchester airport on Monday, will drop the car off at the airport, and will stay at the hotel overnight ready for flights I have booked to Marseille on Tuesday. Hiring a car at the airport and driving north to catch up with my brother Ian and his wife Sue. So looking forward to it. Tomorrows going to be a busy day.
