Another warm but very relaxing
day here before we hit the road tomorrow for Switzerland. Did a few chores this
morning then went for a hike up the valley following one of the many mountain
streams. There were a lot of people around, the carparks were full and everyone
seemed to be out and about enjoying their weekend, running, hiking, tramping
and even spotted some paragliders high up in the mountains. A chair lift was
operating up the valley, but we chose to walk…don’t know why!!! There was a
nice breeze and walked quite a bit of the way with shade from trees. There are
so many wildflowers blooming, many I have seen growing as perennials in our
gardens.
The past six days in the
mountains have been a very welcome time to catch our breath, slow down and
escape the heatwave that has been so bad right throughout Europe. Having
electricity and our wonderful fan has made it bearable.
