Sunday September 9, Foz

Great patterns in the sand at low tide
Another low key day as we take it quietly, trying to get rid of these niggly colds. Leaving us feeling a bit lack lustre. But a really nice place to be if you don’t feel like doing much.
The bakery van arrived this morning, tooting its horn and we all emerge from our vans to collect our “daily bread”. Great service and saves having to worry about finding a place in town. Did a few chores, chatted with some Brit campers who are in Spain for 12 months and got a few hints on places to go. After a cloudy start the sun came out and a very pleasant temperature. Wandered into town and along the board walk to the beach where there was a lot more action. A beautiful white sandy beach dotted with beach umbrellas and people enjoying the sun. Lots of apartment buildings overlooking the coast, not modern but well kept. Meandered home through the back streets, so many little local bars, all serving tapas and with lots of customers. Noticed that there are no power poles through this area, with wires are attached to the buildings – interesting for electricians.
Low tide in the estuary

Great seafaring sculptures dotted around town.

Beach front apartments

An electricians nightmare

Anyone for a do up?

It looks unspoilt and not full of tourists. Very pleasant place to take it easy.
