Monday May 1 – Ardleigh
The gorgeous fields of yellow, taken through the window as we drove down the motorway |
The rain had cleared and although it was only 11 degrees,
the sun was shining and the countryside was a real picture. Rolling hills, lots
of trees and fields of bright yellow rapeseed oil. It really is feeling as
though we are “On the Road Again”. Had booked into a camp which is only 30 minutes
drive from the ferry terminal in Harwich. We stayed here last year, before and
after our crossings and it is a really nice spot. Very quiet, surrounded by
trees and fields. After a late lunch have had a very leisurely and lazy
afternoon, meandered some of the country lanes and recharged the batteries and
all ready for Netherlands tomorrow.
Thanks to 7 year old Alicia for this photo as we said our good byes to Steve and Kathy |
A wet morning in Boston |
Pretty county lanes around our nights camp. |
New spring growth |
Scenes like this are just so English. |
