The Northern Lights - A Wow night at Storvik



WOW....it was quite a night. Set the alarm for 12.30, poked my head out and could see something was happening so we put some warm gear on, grabbed the tripod  and down to the beach. We couldn't see much colour with the naked eye, but there was a lot of movement. Took heaps of photos and after an hour the cold got the better of us. Surprised with the colour that came out in the computer.
Hope to see more like this in the next few days.

Beautiful..it is quite special I think seeing auroras' we saw them as a child growing up in Central Otago too...😀

You lucky lucky people you! So much better than the show I saw in Alaska.

I might have to sell my home and get a RV, either that or stop reading your blog...

By the way the photo I won the OPS v RCC comp with just won OPS Colour Print of the Year. Well chuffed. ;o)
