Sunday July 3, Squamish BC

Plans certainly change. This morning we decided to head south to Langley where there were a number of RV Centres. Thought it would be a good chance to see how the brakes went, and if we had problems maybe it was the right sort of area to get them fixed. It ended up quite an interesting drive especially further out in the market gardening area, and was not nearly as busy as yesterday.

The brakes caused no further problems, Ian could only put it down to the stop start heavy traffic city driving yesterday. Will get them checked before long but ended up heading out of Vancouver to Squamish on the road to Whistler. The traffic was pretty heavy with holidaymakers returning to the city from the long weekend. The road winding around the hills had been upgraded for the 2010 Winter Olympics and was excellent, double lanes most of the way.

Squamish sits in a valley surrounded by steep mountains and rocky faces, a real outdoors area. Spotted a Walmart and there were a number of campers all ready set up for the night in the carpark, seemed like a good spot to overnight.
