Friday June 10, Anacortes, Seattle, WA

Alarm woke us at 5am this morning, needed to get organised for the 6am shuttle to the airport. I had booked the flight to Seattle online, and the best price was with Virgin America. Thought it might be a budget airline, but we were so impressed. The departure area was in a new terminal where we had a leisurely coffee and breakfast while we waited. The plane seemed quite new with leather seats and touch TV screens on the back of the chairs. The 2 hour flight went by in a flash.

I had done all the trip bookings myself online and did feel relieved when they all went with out a hitch!

Lunch at the airport before we caught the shuttle bus for the 2 ½ hour trip out to Anacortes. Terry and Sherry were there to meet us and we could see Ruakiwi in the storage yard still covered up, will collect her tomorrow.

So good to catch up again, had a wonderful evening.

My brother Ian and his wife Sue are flying in from Atlanta but not due to arrive at Anacortes until just before midnight, so we decided to head for bed early as the past few days were catching up on us. Will be looking forward to seeing them in the morning.
