Loved this installation on my walk into Gorinchem
before we left on Monday. Spot the heron.

Realise we are getting near the end as have got a bit behind with the blog….and photos!
We arrived here on Monday, our regular campspot at the marina before we catch the ferry. Time to sort ourselves out and give the van a good clean up. The weather has been so hot again with temperatures well over 30, and yesterday it was almost 35 with humidity…yuk. Bikes out in the morning and tootled around town and off to the caravan shop to pick up a few supplies. Ian has decided to give the van a good cut and polish and managed to find a shop with a random orbital sander to make it a bit easier, but they had to order one in as a part was missing. Picked up some groceries and by the time we got back late morning the best thing we could do was grab our chairs and sit under the trees for the afternoon, and try not to move too much!
A little cooler this morning and back into town to pick up the sander. Ian got stuck in and has done quite a bit already. I used the camp laundry and did loads of washing and hung it up on lines around the camper, such a good breeze and it was dry in no time. Tonight we rode into the village and had dinner at our “local haunt”, and the wait staff even remembered us from previous visits….almost locals! Such a pleasant evening to be sitting outside. Few spots of rain on the way home but still very warm.
Last morning in Gorinchem on Monday. Very warm.
