Thursday April 27. 2017. Singapore

So good to spend the last afternoon in NZ with the grandies.
Just a short post to kick off this years blog as we overnight in Singapore ready to continue off to London this morning. After travelling straight through last year decided that we would try a short stop, time for a shower and a sleep. Ian was very pleased to get his head down last night as he managed to get a head cold the day before we left home. Touch wood I am okay and have been taking     herbal herbal remedies to try and not pick it up. Fingers crossed.

We left the lake on Tuesday and had a good time catching up with the family - all except Craig who is on a fishing trip to Fiordland. Dean and the children took us up to the airport yesterday morning for our midday flight. The weather was stunning as we left Auckland, clear blue skies and temperatures in the 20's - enjoyed it as the weather in U.K. is unseasonably cold at the moment.

Well done Meg, it was a surprise to see your post come into the email. I think breaking the journey and sleeping in a bed is a great idea.

Meg,
Nothing unusual about the UK weather-hasn't changed much in the last 2 thousand years no matter the time of year.
