This sign at the pub summed it all up! |
It has been a day of doing all the final preparations
before we finally head away from Burgh Le Marsh in the morning. A trip to the
supermarket this morning to stock up on last minute supplies then time spent
finding the right places to pack everything away. There is so much storage…now
just have to remember which cupboard or drawer it is in! It has been another
really warm day with a very hot strong wind.
Finally everything in place, ready to set off in the
morning. So we walked up to the “local” for a drink and a meal. Well what a
great evening it turned out to be – feel as though we are just about “locals”.
Had a great time chatting with Alan and Mel and their friend Steve, they made
us so welcome. Then Molly the waitress who is such a delightful girl, and is
heading back to Adelaide before xmas. On our way out caught up with Frank, a
local farmer. Certainly couldn’t be a better way to say farewell to our rather
longer than anticipated stay here.
Tonight Steve and Kathy are on the ferry to Rotterdam for
a 10 day trip to Sweden and an Aston Martin Rally…enjoy.

Ref your crossing comment. Just pop into Boots the chemist and get yourself one of those inflatable neck supports you see airline passengers using in airline seats.Worn back to front it supports the chin when resting on the porcelain.
Smooth crossing, safe travels and happy times ahead.xx
