The old street in Lowell, a real "find"!
Today has been a much more leisurely day, after clocking up quite a few miles since leaving Roswell on Monday.  We wandered down into the old town and spent a very enjoyable few hours mooching around the little shops and galleries, this place has a really good feel to it, with some really quality goods and not too much of the souvenirs that you often see in the tourist towns.

We found another little treasure only about a mile away in what was the little town of Lowell. There was one street left which was like a museum with old garages, petrol pumps, old signs and a number of classic cars parked in the street. Somehow it didn’t feel too staged, and it just seemed as though we had stepped back in time. And what was even better there was hardly anyone else about. Lunch stop was the nearby BBC (Bisbee Breakfast Club) which didn’t look much from outside, but it was really busy and the food was great, obviously well known locally.
We called in to see Winston and Sandy in nearby Hereford, they have an amazing Mexican style house set in 4 acres of high desert land with mountains all around. A pretty amazing spot….I am sure Ruakiwi will be very happy there!!!
Continued on towards Tucson and found this nice campground just off the road, and as we were parked right next to the laundry, I got that chore out of the way. Also ended up chatting with Mike, an ex-kiwi who is now living here and working in a nearby RV centre. A very good evening.
A few more from Lowell....so enjoyed this street.
