Thursday September 19, Bodega Bay CA

Watching the race this afternoon.

Drove the last stretch of Route 1 this morning following the Sonoma Coast, another great drive with some really windy roads but once again the views were amazing. The weather is just stunning, warm with hardly a cloud in the sky, although hear that it is changing and some rain coming in.

There were quite a number of hairpin bends, made for an interesting drive.

Had decided to stop in Bodega Bar so that we could find a bar to watch today’s America’s Cup racing and hopefully see our boys win. We can’t get over how many American’s we have spoken to who are backing Team NZ, they just don’t like Larry Ellison!
We found a great place on the water for lunch and coverage, but sadly no luck today. But have been in contact with Pam in Napa Valley and we are going to her place early tomorrow and she is going to come with us and catch a ferry across the bay so that we can watch the racing live…I am sure they have been waiting for us to arrive! Really excited, sure it is going to be a great day.
Found a good RV park for the night by the Marina in Bodega…our last night beside the Pacific!
