Tuesday June 1 Lake Tarawera-Auckland_Los Angeles

How wonderful a shower and hair wash feels after such a long day, it reinvigorates the tired body.  Feel not too bad sitting in our room on the 6th floor of the Marriott Airport Hotel, overlooking the hotel pool.
Molly caused a bit of a delay this morning, after being on antibiotics for Kennel Cough, realised that she hadn’t been to the toilet for 2 days. Spent ages walking her round the lake front, hoping that she might produce the goods but to not avail. Called into the Rotorua vets hoping to pick something up that would loosen her up, but no, the vet wanted to check her out. After a 30 minute wait, he decided she was fine, just my fault as I had been cleaning out the freezer and gave her fresh mince for the past 3 days. She didn’t complain at all, in fact thought it was jolly good, but obviously the bowels weren’t so sure.
The weather was foul all day, absolutely teeming for much of the trip to Pukekohe, somehow felt good that we were heading off to summer.
So it was well into the afternoon before our first stop to say farewell to Janine, Aidan and Ella, and also Heatherbelle who had called in. On to the Kerrs to leave Molly, she didn’t even bother saying goodbye, just headed off into the house and made herself at home, picking up from where she left off last year.
Next stop at Waiuku to see Nicky, Cody, Tara and Keely, before picking Craig up from work who took us to the airport and dropped us off at departure.
Lynn Clayton was there to farewell us, over a few wines and a snack, then boarded the 9.30 flight for Los Angeles....thanks Lynn for the photos!!!

Jenny..can't believe the camera has only just arrived...have you given it a good test? 4 more sleeps, and when you wake up and read this...only 3 more sleeps!! It certainly feels great to be back in Ruakiwi just cruising. Safe travels and will keep an eye out for how your trip goes. Love Meg
