Thursday September 15th Fossoy on HW 604

The end of a good day!
It has been quite a day with the morning spent dealing with business matters back in New Zealand, all good. We left following G&C down the rather narrow road and back on the highway into Sogndalsfjora with the sun shining and a mist over the fjord. We needed to get a better wifi signal so parked in a supermarket carpark on the outskirts and spent several hours online.
But car parking in the centre of town, right beside the fjord is at a premium and we spent quite a long time driving around until we found a park, and needing to take up two spaces we had to put money in two meters! Found a place to have lunch and bought a few other essentials including a bottle of bubbles.
It was almost 2pm when we left town and we headed back a little and took HW 604 up to the glaciers. Gerhart and Conny had gone up earlier and we had arranged to catch up again in the evening. It was quite a drive and at the end decided the road wasn’t really suitable for Ruakiwi so turned around and drove back down the road until we found a rather nice camp spot beside the glacial river. It wasn’t long before “the germans” arrived, pulled the chairs out and had another very good evening starting off with a bottle of French Champagne! Sorry, but very few photos today.

As close as we got!
And a couple of pics I didn't get loaded the other day. Taken looking down on the Troll's Road watching a bus and a piece of road machinery as they met. Glad it wasn't us meeting this. All ended well.
