Anacortes....last day!
I really have been so lax with the blog, must be something to do with the going home thing and in fact this afternoon Terry and Sherry took us to the neighbouring island for a wonderful seafood lunch and guess who forgot the camera! Couldn't believe it. The coast and the little town of Coupville was just so picturesque, there were so many photos....and no camera.
Anyway this morning we put Ruakiwi into storage in the same yard that Terry stores his caravan, and this year she has even been covered. Terry and Ian went to Camping World and bought a specially made cover and it fits so well. Didn't even have the camera to take a photo of her in all her clothes!
Terry and Sherry have just been wonderful, they have done so much for us and taken us everywhere to explore the island of Fidalgo....a really great place to live. It has been so good to be here to do all the final jobs.
Tonight we have packed all the bags, needed to buy a bigger one from Walmart this afternoon, and tomorrow morning we are catching a shuttle from nearby to Seattle airport for the flight to San Fransisco, then tomorrow night we are on our way home.
It has been an amazing journey...almost 4 months on the road. So many sights, so many new friends and thank you everyone who has sent messages and glad that you have all enjoyed the blog. I have had a lot of fun writing it.
Will put up a final message when we get back to Lake Tarawera in Rotorua, but thought you might enjoy this photo of Sherry and I with our niece Nicole....the Aunts!!!
