Sunday October 12
Sunday October 12 Hoagland, Indiana
We are back where we started tonight with Marge, and Ruakiwi is parked outside waiting to be put into the barn where she has been stored all her life….and with almost 10,000 more miles on the clock….and no scratches!
It has been another really hot day, very unusual as Indiana has not had a frost yet, and normal that comes mid September. The fields are really dry, and much of the crop is already harvested. Spent the morning washing all the linen and finishing packing…what a job. Ian got all the tanks emptied ready to winterise. After lunch on route arrived back at Marge’s early afternoon…it was just like coming home and so good to catch up again. We have made a great friend. I was very spoilt, Marge gave me a beautiful doll, all hand stitched and embroidered in the most exquisite design by her cousin, even down to my name being embroidered on the dress. It is a real heirloom, and something so special.
Spent the afternoon talking and relating our adventures over a few beers, then off down to the local restaurant, the Three Kings for supper.
