Introducing "Ruakiwi"

Ruakiwi ( Rua is maori for two!) is going to be home during our travels in North America, and as yet we have only seen it via emails.
We decided we wanted to travel extensively throughout Canada and USA, and decided the best option would be to buy our own RV.
Ian surfed the net for hours, firstly deciding the brand of RV he was looking for, then the layout. After many weeks he finally found this vehicle advertised privately, lengthy emails and phone calls eventually led to us buying it in Indiana last Xmas (2007). So as you can imagine we have been itching to actually start travelling.
It is 26 feet long, built on a Ford 450 V10 - I try not to think about the continual rise in fuel prices!
The double bed is at the back, along with a separate shower and toilet, a real home away from home.
We will pick it up near Fort Wayne in Indiana, and as we jokingly say..."we will head north into Canada and turn right". The general idea will be to travel through Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and right up into Nova Scotia, before returning East through USA, but main roads are not in the itinerary.
