Sunday August 23, Tongue River State Park MT

We had a wonderful ride this morning with Clayton looking for Moose, but no luck at all. We were out on the ATV for about 1 ½ hours, and he took us through the forest to all the most likely spots where they have been seen before but they were hiding. It was a great ride and pleased to have the opportunity to have a good look around.

We were sorry to leave the area, had really enjoyed our time in the Bighorn Forest, it was so open with streams running through meadows and over rocks, as well as wooded areas.

Wound our way down the hill to Dayton, then back to civilisation on the Interstate to Sheridan.

Parked at the Laundromat and did the weeks washing while we had lunch and linked onto wifi. Then it was off to the supermarket to load up with supplies, and filled Ruakiwi up with fuel as we heard the Montana price was about 30 cents a gallon dearer.

Through the border into Montana and into the State Park on the reservoir of the Tongue River to a great camp, right beside the water. It has been a very grey day, and as we dropped down to about 2500 feet, the heat and humidity increased. Very few photos today after an overload over the last week.
